Probiotic and Saffron Supplement Enhances Glycemic Control in Type 1 Diabetes
Supplementation with a probiotic supplement with saffron extract over six months can improve serum triglycerides in people with type 1 diabetes (DMT-1) and may be a valuable adjunct for enhancing glycemic control, according to new research. The researchers decided to use the combination supplement LactoLevure ProbioMood, supplied by Uni-Pharma Greece. Their findings demonstrated that the administration of the supplement over a period of six months significantly enhanced glycemic control and reduced triglyceride (a type of fat in the blood) levels in individuals with well-controlled DMT-1.

Postbiotic-Prebiotic Supplement Proven to Lower Blood Glucose Levels
Gut health experts have spotlighted a new study that backs the efficacy of a supplement combining a postbiotic and a second-generation prebiotic in lowering blood sugar levels in a prediabetic population. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group clinical trial published in the journal Nutrients studied the impact of supplementation with YMETA, a new concept comprising galacto-oligosaccharides (GOSs) produced through the β-galactosidase activity of Bifidobacterium breve, exopolysaccharides (EPSs) from B. breve and konjac glucomannan (KGM).
Uni-Pharma’s Probio Mood Supplement Improves Glycemic Control in T1D
Uni-Pharma’s LactoLevure Probio Mood, a new oral supplement containing probiotics, prebiotics, magnesium, and saffron extract, has potential as an adjunct to improve glycaemic control in people with well-controlled Type 1 diabetes, according to a multi-institutional study in Nutrients. LactoLevure Probio Mood is positioned to reduce fatigue, support the normal functioning of the nervous system, and improve mood. Each serving (1 stick) provides magnesium 75mg, a probiotic blend 1bn CFUs (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, B. breve, B. longum), fructo-oligosaccharides 100mg and saffron extract 28mg.
