MicroPhyt’s BrainPhyt May Boost Cognition in Older People
A study published in Nutrients explored MicroPhyt’s BrainPhyt, a microalgae extract, for cognitive health in older adults with self-reported memory decline. Over 12 weeks, 43 participants (aged 55-75) received either BrainPhyt or a placebo. Cognitive testing showed that BrainPhyt may improve working memory, attention, and executive function. Additionally, there were positive effects on insulin sensitivity and sleep quality, suggesting broader benefits beyond cognition.
AIDP’s Magtein Might be Beneficial for Sleep
A study published in Sleep Medicine suggests that AIDP’s Magtein (magnesium-L-threonate) may enhance sleep quality and daytime performance. Researchers from Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida assigned 80 participants with sleep issues to take either Magtein or a placebo for 21 days. Results showed improvements in deep, REM, and light sleep, as well as better daytime energy, productivity, and mood in the Magtein group. Objective data from Oura Rings and subjective questionnaires supported these findings. The study was funded by AIDP, and Magtein is distributed by Threotech.
FrieslandCampina Ingredients Pioneers Low-Dose Prebiotics with Proven Women’s Health Benefits
A new clinical study reveals Biotis GOS-OP High Purity’s low dosage efficacy. FrieslandCampina Ingredients’ Biotis GOS-OP (galactooligosaccharide-content of over 90%) High Purity can increase Bifidobacterium in the gut microbiome of healthy women at dosages of 2 g and 1.3 g — the lowest tested dose in the industry, according to a recent study. The company highlights that this “first-of-its-kind” clinical trial demonstrates the gut health benefits of daily supplementation with the ingredient. The randomized, parallel, double-blind study published in Frontiers in Nutrition included 88 women between the ages of 40 and 70 — an under-studied demographic the company says encompasses some of the most frequent users of digestive and gut health supplements.
Bitter Hops Extract Reduces Hunger by 30% Through GLP-1 Activation
A novel study has found that Amarasate can act as a natural GLP-1 activator. The active nutraceutical can be taken orally rather than via injection and doesn’t require a prescription — unlike the current GLP-1-activating weight loss drugs on the market. Recent research on the functional ingredient has found that it can reduce cravings by up to 40%, while also lowering feelings of hunger in users by 30%. The trial involved 30 adults.

- MDcalm significantly outperformed placebo in supporting mood and sleep measures, according to a clinical study involving 1,461 U.S. adults.
- MDsleep significantly outperformed placebo in reducing measures of sleep disturbance, anxiety, and stress in clinical studies involving 620 adults, and was associated with improvements to self-reported quality of life.
- MDrelief was found to significantly reduce measures of pain interference and pain intensity in women below the age of 50, and in general populations, in clinical trials involving 1,160 U.S. adults.
All studies were double-blinded, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials conducted by Raidcle Science, a public benefit corporation supporting clinical wellness research.
